At 101 Physio we know you are in significant pain when you visit us for the first time, so we don't mess you around with symantics and a lot of medical terms. From our initial consultation and assessment of your pain condition, we advise you on the best course of treatment for your specific pain symptoms/condition. In consultation with you we implement a custom treatment and management program.

 

Why do you get Arm and Elbow Pain?

Your Arms and Elbows are under constant movement pressure/stress, your lifestyle, work activities, posture, sporting activities, home duties, shopping, carrying, lifting, gardening, basically all activities that require arm and elbow movement can cause Pain.

Generally, when pain is felt in your Arm and/or Elbow it is caused by muscle strain, joint inflammation/ligament trauma, an injury or over-use. Nearly everyone that plays a racquet or bat sport suffers from an Arm or Elbow Injury Pain some time in their life. The good news is most Arm and Elbow Pain is treatable without invasive surgery procedures or drugs.

Treatments to relieve pain, promote relaxation and restore movement, include manipulation, mobilisation, massage and exercises to strengthen your Arm muscles and Elbow stability.


Symptoms of Pain in your left Arm

A common assumption with pain on the left side of your body - specifically pain in your left arm is that you are experiencing a heart attack or other heart related ailment. While this maybe the case, there are many other issues that could be the cause of the pain and more often than not is.
IMPORTANT: If you have symtoms of pain specifically in your left arm, accompanied with Chest Pain call your Doctor immediately or call the emergency hotline "000" for immediate assistance. Time is critical in dealing with Heart Attack Survival and Recovery.


TENNIS ELBOW - "Golfers Elbow"

The most common type of Elbow Pain is Tennis Elbow, Golfers Elbow is less common but a similar over-use injury. Despite their names, these pain injuries commonly occur as a result of a range of physical activities - racquet sports, rowing, canoeing, weight-lifting, hockey, wrestling, swimming as well as repetitive tasks undertaken at home work and play. The good news is many Elbow Pain conditions are treatable without invasive surgery procedures or drugs.
