Our podiatry team works from our Melton West clinic on Barries Road. We see adults, adolescents and children from across Melton, Melton West, Melton South, Kurunjang, Cobblebank, Brookfield, Eynesbury, Caroline Springs and the surrounding Shire of Melton catchment — for heel and foot pain, ingrown toenails, diabetic foot checks, paediatric foot development, sports-related foot and ankle problems and footwear or orthotic prescription where clinically indicated. Podiatry is currently offered at our Melton clinic only; patients from Hoppers Crossing or Sunbury are welcome to attend Melton. To book, call (03) 9746 6852 or book online.

Who may benefit
- You have heel pain or pain along the sole of your foot
- You have ingrown toenails, painful corns or thickened nails
- You have diabetes and need ongoing foot monitoring
- You have foot-shape concerns — bunions, hammer toes, flat feet, high arches
- You're a runner or active adult with foot, ankle or shin problems
- You have a child with foot-development concerns
- You've been recommended orthotics by a GP, physiotherapist or specialist
What your first podiatry appointment may involve
- History. Your concern, when it started, what helps or worsens it, activity and footwear, relevant medical history (especially diabetes or circulation conditions).
- Foot and lower-limb examination. Skin and nail assessment, range of movement, strength, foot posture, walking pattern, and circulation/sensation checks where appropriate.
- Discussion. What we think is going on, options, and what we'd recommend trying first.
- Treatment where appropriate. Some first appointments include in-room treatment (nail care, callous management, taping); others are assessment-focused.
- Footwear and home advice. Practical changes you can try.
- Orthotic discussion if relevant. Whether off-the-shelf or custom orthotics may help.
- Communication or referral. With your consent, we communicate with your GP, physiotherapist or specialist.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral to see your podiatrist in Melton?
No — podiatry is a primary contact profession, so you can book directly. A referral is required for some funded pathways: Medicare EPC, DVA, and certain NDIS arrangements.
Is podiatry only at Melton?
Yes — podiatry is currently offered at our Melton clinic only. Patients from Hoppers Crossing or Sunbury are welcome to attend Melton.
Can my child see your podiatrist?
Yes — children's podiatry is part of what we do.
Do you make custom orthotics?
Sometimes — custom orthotics are appropriate after assessment for specific presentations. Off-the-shelf orthotics work for many people.
I have diabetes — what does a foot check involve?
A diabetic foot check assesses circulation, sensation, skin and nail health, and footwear suitability. Frequency depends on your overall foot risk.
Can I see a physiotherapist and the podiatrist at the same clinic?
Yes — physiotherapy is also at our Melton clinic, and we often coordinate care (with your consent).
Can I claim podiatry on the spot with my health fund?
Yes — HICAPS is on-site at our Melton clinic.
