Workplace Assessment

Physiotherapy treatment at 101 Physio & Allied Health

We provide workplace ergonomic assessments for individual workers and employers. Assessments can be in-clinic or on-site (depending on the setup needed). Common reasons include office setup reviews for desk-based workers, return-to-work planning after injury, and case-specific assessments where pain or discomfort is affecting work. To book or enquire, call (03) 9746 6852 or contact us.

Types of ergonomic assessment

  • Office / desk setup — chair, screen, keyboard, mouse, lighting
  • Industrial / manual handling — lifting tasks, repetitive demands, body mechanics
  • Return-to-work assessment — modifications needed for a worker returning after injury
  • Home office assessment — particularly relevant since shift to hybrid work
  • Group ergonomic input — common issues across a team or workplace

What an assessment may include

  • Discussion with the worker about current discomfort and tasks
  • Observation of the workstation or task in use
  • Specific adjustments recommended (chair height, screen position, breaks, tools)
  • Written report with recommendations
  • Coordination with employer or case manager where relevant

Available in-clinic at all three clinics, or on-site at the workplace (additional travel may apply depending on distance).

  • Hoppers Crossing — 369 Morris Road, Hoppers Crossing.
  • Sunbury — 16 O'Shanassy Street, Sunbury (by appointment).
