Hip Pain Physiotherapy in Melton, Hoppers Crossing & Sunbury

Hip pain physiotherapy at 101 Physio & Allied Health

Hip pain can come from the joint itself, the surrounding tendons, the lower back, or the pelvic structures. Our physiotherapists assess the source and develop a plan that fits the specific cause — across our three clinics. To book, call (03) 9746 6852 or book online.

For general public information, see healthdirect Australia's physical activity guidance.

Frequently asked questions

How long does gluteal tendinopathy take to settle?

Usually weeks to months with progressive load management. It often responds well to specific strengthening done correctly.

I'm waiting for a hip replacement — can physio help in the meantime?

Often yes — pre-surgical strengthening (sometimes called "prehab") tends to help post-surgical recovery.

Do I need imaging?

For many hip presentations, imaging doesn't change early management. We'll discuss when imaging would be appropriate.
