Post-surgical physiotherapy is rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery. We work with patients after knee, hip and shoulder surgery, spinal procedures, foot and ankle surgery, and a range of other operations — following the surgeon's protocol and adjusting progression to the individual. To book, call (03) 9746 6852 or book online.

Frequently asked questions
When should I start physio after surgery?
It depends on the surgery and the surgeon's protocol. Some procedures benefit from rehabilitation starting within a few days; others have a longer initial rest period.
Will you talk to my surgeon?
Yes — with your consent, we routinely communicate with surgical teams to confirm protocols and progress.
Do I need hydrotherapy as well as land-based rehab?
Sometimes — hydrotherapy is useful in the early phase of certain rehabilitations (e.g. knee or hip replacement) when land-based loading is uncomfortable. It's discussed at assessment.
