We are an NDIS-registered provider, with physiotherapists working with NDIS participants from our clinics in Melton, Hoppers Crossing and Sunbury. If physiotherapy or related supports are funded in your plan, we can help you work on the goals around mobility, strength, function, transfers, balance, exercise, and managing the impact of injury, illness or disability on day-to-day life. We work with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants, and we provide the reporting that plan managers and support coordinators usually need. To book an NDIS physiotherapy appointment, call (03) 9746 6852 or book online.

What is NDIS physiotherapy?
NDIS physiotherapy is physiotherapy delivered to NDIS participants under the funding in their plan. It's the same clinical service as any other physiotherapy — assessment, individualised treatment, exercise prescription, education and review — with two important differences:
- The funding pathway is NDIS, not Medicare or private health. Your plan funds the sessions, within the categories and amounts the NDIA has approved.
- The plan goals frame the work. Each session connects back to the goals in your plan — mobility, transfers, strength, function, independence, participation — rather than being open-ended.
We are a registered NDIS provider, which means we can support participants whose plans are NDIA-managed as well as those that are plan-managed or self-managed.
Who may benefit from NDIS physiotherapy?
NDIS physiotherapy may be appropriate where your plan includes physiotherapy or capacity-building supports and one or more of these applies:
- You have a condition or injury that affects your movement, strength, balance or function
- You're recovering from surgery, illness or a hospital stay and need rehabilitation
- You have a neurological condition (e.g. stroke, MS, Parkinson's, cerebral palsy) affecting daily life
- You have a chronic musculoskeletal condition that benefits from ongoing physiotherapy input
- You're a child whose plan includes physiotherapy for movement, developmental or post-injury needs
- You're working towards independence goals where movement and physical function are part of the picture
If you're unsure whether your plan supports physiotherapy or whether we can deliver the supports listed in your plan, call reception — we'll talk through the line items with you, or with your support coordinator or plan manager.
What your NDIS physiotherapy appointment may involve
A first NDIS physiotherapy appointment is usually 30 to 45 minutes, and a little of it is dedicated to plan logistics so we can deliver and report correctly. It typically covers:
- Plan review. We confirm the goals and supports in your plan, the line items we're billing under, and your plan management arrangement.
- Clinical history. The reason you're seeking physiotherapy — what's getting in the way of daily life, what you've tried, relevant medical history.
- Physical assessment. Movement, strength, balance, function, and screening of related areas. We adjust the assessment to your communication, sensory and mobility needs.
- Goal alignment. We connect the assessment back to your plan goals and to anything specific you're hoping to work on.
- Plan and frequency. A proposed plan, how many sessions are likely, and how we'll measure progress.
- Treatment where clinically appropriate. First sessions sometimes include hands-on treatment or exercise prescription; sometimes assessment is the whole first session.
- Coordination. With your consent, we communicate with your support coordinator, plan manager, GP, paediatrician or specialist as helpful. We also provide written progress reports for plan reviews.
What to bring: your NDIS plan (or relevant pages), any prior allied-health reports, imaging if relevant, comfortable clothing, and any equipment you typically use (walking aids, orthotics).
Goals we commonly work on with NDIS participants
- Mobility — walking distance, walking aids, indoor and community access
- Transfers — bed-chair, chair-toilet, in and out of vehicles
- Strength and conditioning — muscle and joint loading appropriate to your condition
- Balance — including falls-prevention work for older participants or those with neurological conditions
- Post-injury function — returning to activities, work or recreation after an injury
- Neurological rehabilitation — supporting movement and function after stroke, with multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's, cerebral palsy and similar conditions
- Paediatric goals — movement, development and participation goals for children
- Equipment and home program support — recommendations for orthotics, splints, walking aids and home-based exercises
- Pain management as part of a wider functional plan
- Endurance and conditioning where reduced fitness is affecting daily life
The right goals to work on are the ones in your plan and the ones that matter to you in daily life. We talk through both at intake.

Funding, plan types and what we need
We can support NDIS participants under each of the three plan-management types:
- Self-managed — you receive an invoice from us, you pay it, then you claim back through the NDIS portal.
- Plan-managed — we invoice your plan manager directly; you don't handle payments. We provide the documentation they need.
- NDIA-managed (agency-managed) — we claim directly through the NDIS portal at the registered-provider price. Possible because we are a registered provider.
To get started, please bring a copy of your plan (or the relevant pages showing physiotherapy or related supports) to your first appointment, or share it via email beforehand. We'll confirm the line items we'll bill under and how billing will work.
Funding eligibility depends on your circumstances, your plan, claim approval and appointment type. Please contact reception if unsure.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need a referral for NDIS physiotherapy?
No GP referral is required. You will need a current NDIS plan that includes physiotherapy or related supports. Bring a copy of your plan (or the relevant pages) to your first appointment.
I'm self-managed / plan-managed / NDIA-managed — can you help me?
Yes — we work with all three plan-management types. Self-managed participants receive an invoice; plan-managed participants have their plan manager invoiced directly; NDIA-managed participants are billed via the NDIS portal at the registered-provider price.
How many sessions will I have?
It depends on your goals, your plan's funded amount, and how you respond. We agree expected frequency at the first appointment and review it as you progress. Reports are provided for plan reviews so the NDIA, your plan manager or your support coordinator have what they need.
Do you see children under NDIS?
Yes — we work with paediatric participants where physiotherapy is in the plan. A parent or guardian is welcome in the appointment. Reception can help match you with a physiotherapist experienced with the relevant age group.
Can you communicate with my support coordinator or plan manager?
Yes — with your consent, we routinely communicate with support coordinators, plan managers, GPs, paediatricians and specialists where it supports your care or your plan review.
I want to switch from another physiotherapy provider — can I?
Yes. Bring across any prior reports or treatment notes that are helpful (you usually have a right to copies of your own records). We'll do our own assessment at the first session, take account of what's worked previously, and pick up from where you are.
What if my plan doesn't include physiotherapy?
If physiotherapy isn't currently funded in your plan but you'd like it considered at your next plan review, talk to your support coordinator or planner. They can provide guidance on whether physiotherapy fits within your goals. We can provide assessment reports that may help support the conversation, with your consent.
