First appointment
For individual psychology sessions, the first appointment is typically 50–60 minutes. For ADHD, ASD or cognitive assessments, the first appointment is an intake — shorter, focused on understanding the reason for assessment, explaining the pathway, and deciding together whether to proceed.
Funding
- Medicare Mental Health Care Plan — rebates apply per session for eligible patients with a GP-issued plan.
- Private health insurance — varies by fund and policy.
- NDIS — for participants whose plan includes psychology.
- Private payment — accepted. Pricing varies by assessment type; reception will outline at intake.
